PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the specification and retrieval of a lost article while using an electronic equipment system for issuing an alarm when the lost article gets away from an owner longer than a fixed distance. SOLUTION: Concerning this system, lost articles 402 and 4n2 can be recognized at the time point of losing, peculiar number information is registered into respective handsets 401 and 4n1, the high order of the peculiar number information is recognized as a group number, and the low order of the peculiar number information is made corresponding to a specified handset. The group number of the peculiar number information is made corresponding to plural lost articles desired not to be lost and a warning is issued about the loss of the specified handset pertaining to the group. The peculiar number information of the specified handset is selected by a base unit 3, a radio wave is transmitted, a warning is issued from the handset within the fixed distance and this system is provided with a control device 1 such as personal computer capable of discovering the lost article and facilitating the registration and change of the peculiar number information.
