摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the waste feed opening structure of a swirl melt furnace to prevent the increase of solidified slug adhered to the outlet side of a waste feed opening through simple structure. SOLUTION: A waste feed port structure comprises a waste feed opening body 11 having a protrusion part 11a; an air cylinder 12 connected to the rear end of the waste feed opening body 11; a support member 13 fixed at a furnace wall 10a of a swirl melt furnace 10 and having a through-hole; and a bellows type sealant 14 to seal a gap between the waste feed opening body 11 and the support member 13. Molten slug flowing down along the inner surface of the furnace wall 10a is adhered at the periphery on the furnace inner wall side of the waste feed opening body 11 and solidified. Since solidified slug is similarly generated on the peripheral surface of a protrusion part 11a, the waste feed opening body 11 is thereafter moved forward and backward in and from the direction of the furnace inside, a crack is caused to occur to solidified slug and peeled for dropping down. Resultant from the above, a crack also occurs to solidified slug adhered to the inner wall side of the furnace, and the slug is peeled for dropping down.
