PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a mechanism that strongly latches an arm at low cost. SOLUTION: A latch magnet 11 is provided in such an area of an actuator 22 that passes through a magnetic field formed by a permanent magnet 54; when a head 4 is in the stop area 31 of a disk 1, with the latch magnet 11 going out of the area between the latch magnet and the permanent magnets 54, a repulsive force is generated between the latch magnet 11 and the permanent magnet 54, enabling the actuator 22 to be latched.
