PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, highly reliably and highly accurately detect a human body at low cost, to judge whether the human body is a visitor or suspicious person and to easily detect and judge the suspicious person at night as well. SOLUTION: Concerning this security system, an indoor unit 11 is provided with a liquid crystal display(LCD) 12, a microphone 13 and a speaker 14 and an outdoor unit 1 is provided with a CCD camera 2, an infrared sensor 3, a speaker 4, a push-button switch 6 and a microphone 5. When a visitor is close to the outdoor unit 1, it is detected by the infrared sensor 3, the CCD camera 2 and the LCD 12 are activated and the visitor can be easily and automatically reported. By using the infrared sensors of plural elements, the moving condition of the visitor is grasped so that whether that person is the visitor or suspicious person can be discriminated.
