PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily copy necessary information with simple device constitution by housing an original disk and a copy disk in the housing part for housing plural disks, selectively recording copy information recorded in the original disk and copying/recording the recorded copy information in the designated copy disk. SOLUTION: Information to be copied and the number of copy disks are inputted and stored in the memory of a controller 9. A set original disk is reproduced by the controller 9, and information on a selected file name is stored in the memory 8. When a quantity of recorded information does not exceed the capacity of the copy disk and moreover the original disk still exists, an operation for designating next disk is repeated. Hereupon, when the original disk is run out, the copy disk housed in the tray of prescribed order is transported to a recording and reproducing position to set it by issuing a command to a transportation controller 6.
