Since the photosensor array is provided with one or more semiconductor layers having carrier generating regions for generating carrier by incident exciting light, the positions of the carrier generating regions can be set arbitrarily so as to equalize the balance of incident light in the direction of two-dimensional travel, which enables sensing with less distortion.
