The end of the matrix (1) is expanded to form a wedge (2) complete with a waisted part devoid of wedge effect in an integrated format anatomically adapted to the tooth. The wedge part is elastic fitting snugly to the tooth or again the wedge part is translucent thus acting as light guide. For milk teeth, the wedge shape is adapted to the basal shoulder area.
