The electric leads (2a,2b) are connected in the ends of the pressure hose, selectively to an open or closed lead loop. Each lead (2a,2b) can be a metal wire, or a metal strip, or an electrically conducting plastic fibre. The leads can be designed as a coil extending over the length of the hose. One lead acts as a current supply line and the other lead delivers a signal input to an electronic monitoring unit.
