<p>The invention relates to an anti-theft device for vehicles, comprising a computer and the following items connected thereto: vehicle immobilizer circuits, circuits indicating the state of one or several doors, a movement detector and means for recognizing one or several authorized drivers. Included in the algorithm of the computer is a vehicle immobilizer function when a sequence comprising the following events is recognized: a) the engine of the vehicle is started, b) the door is opened on the driver's side, c) a driver recognition operation, preferably one involving the physical recognition thereof, does not occur over a given time period, d) a positive detection signal is sent by the movement detector.</p> |
