A roller assembly (12) of a cold rolling apparatus (10) for forming an end of a tube (14) includes an inside roll (20), and an outside roll (18). An axis of rotation of one of the rolls (18, 20) is angularly offset relative to an axis of rotation of the other roll. The angular offset is selected to cause the tube (14) to self-feed into the roller assembly (12) during cold rolling. The angular offset is in a range of up to about 1 DEG , and preferably in a range of about 1/4 to 1/2 DEG . One of the rolls, e.g., the inside roll (20), is a driven roll, and the other of the rolls (18) is angularly offset from the driven roll (20). The driven roll (20) is configured such that its axis of rotation coincides with an axis of the cold rolling apparatus (10). A method of cold rolling a tube (14) includes positioning the tube (14) between the inside roll (20) and an outside roll (18) with the axis of rotation of one of the rolls being angularly offset relative to the axis of rotation of the other roll.
