The invention relates to a surgical clip (1), comprising two clamping arms (12, 14) which can be pivoted in relation to one another about a rotational axis and which have, in a clamping position, a clamping area substantially formed by their action of lying one against the other. Each clamping arm has a free end and an end which is provided with a support. A common spindle is mounted in both supports (16, 20) which defines the rotational axis. The clip also comprises a clamping element (10) which is attached to both clamping arms (12, 14) and which maintains the latter in the clamping position under pre-tension. In order to simplify the construction and production of said clip, according to the invention, the spindle is formed by the clamping element (10).
