PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat battery with organic electrolytic solution capable of achieving a high capacity while a good discharging characteristic is maintained. SOLUTION: A flat battery 1 with organic electrolytic solution includes a power generating element 2 which is formed by laminating a negative electrode active material 2a and a positive electrode active material 2b one over another and sealed by caulking together a negative electrode cup 3 and a positive electrode can 4 through an insulating gasket 5, wherein a reinforcing member 5a of metal arranged as surrounding the lateral peripheral part of the positive electrode active material 2b is formed inside an insulating gasket 1 by means of single piece molding, and thereby the inter-electrode distance between the negative electrode active material 2a and positive electrode active material 2b is kept in good performance in the later half of discharging.
