SOIL PURIFICATION AGENT AND METHOD FOR PURIFYING SOIL

A soil purification agent comprising an aqueous suspension containing fine particles of iron having an average particle diameter less than 10 mu m dispersed therein; a soil purification agent comprising an aqueous suspension containing fine particles of iron having an average particle diameter of a range of 1 to 200 mu m and a hydrophilic binder; and a method for purifying soil comprising using at least one of these purification agents. The soil purification agents can be advantageously used for directly removing an organic halogen compound with good efficiency from a soil which is contaminated with an organic halogen compound and the like.
