<p>The invention concerns a method for collecting and treating blood, in particular poultry blood, in a slaughter line with at least one bleeding post. The invention is characterised in that it comprises the following steps: causing the blood to flow into a solution or a solution/blood mixture, containing an anticoagulant; continuously stirring said solution or said mixture; and stopping the fresh blood flow when the blood/solution ratio is at least just below the coagulation threshold.
