Strip-type piezoelectric resonators or radial resonators based on a piezoelectric unit use radial flexural vibrations and deflect when a signal is applied between the surface electrodes, with operating frequencies e.g. of 300-800 kHz. The resonators require very small physical size for use in electronic components , and have at least two piezoelectric layers, with an internal electrode arranged between these layers. The two surface electrodes are arranged on the outer main surfaces of the at least two piezoelectric layers, which are polarization-processed so that their directions of polarization are at right angles to the internal electrode and mutually opposed in relation to the internal electrode.
