DIAPHRAGM PUMPS

A diaphragm pump comprises a two part casing formed of a front cover (10) an d a back cover (12). A diaphragm plate (14) having a plurality of circular regions (16) extends across the covers (10, 12) with axially aligned inlet a nd outlet ports (18) leading to inlet and outlet chambers (22, 24), a valve housing (26) with a concave resilient disk outlet valve (30) and a plurality of inlet disk valves (36). A wobble plate (40) is positioned in the back cov er (12) with a central boss (42) for connection to the electric motor (76). The wobble plate (40) provides a pumping action by a nutating movement which displaces the pistons (44). The circular diaphragm sections have lugs (46) o f cruciform shape which are secured to corresponding slots (48) in the pistons (44). The motor casing has a mounting bracket (56) with mounting feet (58) o f ovoid shape and resilient material and an integrated pressure switch for stopping the pump by activation of a micro-switch.
