The mattress includes a number of inflatable sacs (1) juxtapositionally connected together in a mattress envelope (2). The mattress has a leg bending device (4) in the form of a number of inflatable sacs formed as arcuate shape when inflated, a body turning device (5) consisting of a number of inflatable sacs longitudinally juxtapositioned at a right and left side of a torso section (22) and a head section (21) of the mattress, and a head lifting device consisting of a number of inflatable sacs gradually decreasing in height from a head portion to a patient's shoulder or neck portion.
