<p>The invention employs digitized animation motion sequences to provide training in the performance of a physical activity utilizing a computer-based interactive user-interface. The digitized animation motion sequences are moving images of an instructor dynamically performing particular techniques from a pre-written script (410) using motion capture hardware and software. A digitized animation unit contains one or more digitized animation motion sequences condensed into a single software computer data file. In addition to the pre-written script text, the animation unit contains audio (426), static images (406), and one or more different views (420, 422) of the same animation motion sequences. An interactive computer-based user-interface allows a student to display and control different aspects of the animation unit, such as a frame rate of speed and camera views, on a computer connected to a communications network, the Internet, or television, or any hand-held computer communications device.</p> |
