Steering system of a motor vehicle with automatic path correction

The rack and pinion steering control for motor vehicle has steering column (1) with steering wheel (2). The steering column has Bowden cable connected to the side of steering wheel by upper connection (23) and to steering rack (3) by lower connection (24). The cable length is automatically adjusted to alter position of rack under automatic control to correct for steering inaccuracies.
