In order to secure stable magnetic properties in a magnet alloy ribbon obtained by a melt rapid cooling method, and obtain excellent magnetic properties and corrosion resistance in a bonded magnet, the area ratio of dimple-like recesses (22) present in the surface (roll surface) of the alloy ribbon in contact with a cooling roll during solidification is defined. As a result, an alloy ribbon for a magnet having stable magnetic properies can be obtained. The use of a powder obtained by grinding such an alloy ribbon enables formation of a bonded magnet having excellent magnetic properties and corrosion resistance. <IMAGE> |
