A system for location and service provisioning based on mobile phone location is disclosed. In the representative embodiment a front-end unit (23) assists a cellular mobile switching center (25) in logical determination of mobile phone location. Said switching center (25) queries a database of user profiles (26) to determine which services should be provided to the mobile phone subscriber in his current location.
