<p>The main power supplied to a load is remote controlled by an infra-red receiver. When the load is in a standby state, the voltage of a standby power supplier 14 is regulated by comparing 8,9 the output of a rectifier 5 with upper and lower reference voltages 10,11 so that a zero crossing switch 3 in the primary circuit of an input transformer 4 is closed if the standby voltage is below the lower reference and opened if it is higher than the upper reference. A starter device 2 is held on for a preset time to ensure the provision of an initial supply voltage. The circuit reduces power consumption in a standby state.</p> |
