PURPOSE: A method for controlling driving force of an engine is provided to improve stability of a vehicle by opening a throttle valve according to slip amount and horizontal acceleration of a wheel. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling driving force of an engine comprises a wheel speed sensor(2) detecting rotational speed of a driving wheel and non-driving wheel; an engine RPM(Revolution Per Minute) sensor(3) detecting RPM of an engine; main/sub throttle valve position sensors(4,5) sensing opening mount of a main throttle valve and a sub throttle valve; an ECU(6) calculating amount of a trays by horizontal acceleration while calculating traction controlling amount by speed difference between the driving wheel and the non-driving wheel; and a sub throttle valve actuator(7) controlling driving force of the engine by controlling opening amount of the sub throttle valve through the ECU.
