METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FORMING DIES

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing forming dies is provided which reduces cost, repairs and recycles waste articles by forming the forming dies using alloy tool steel and chemical bonding spray coating only the used part of the forming dies to a certain thickness with an abrasion resisting metal. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing forming dies comprises the processes of roughing only the surface portion used in a general alloy tool steel matrix in the bulk state to a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm corresponding to coating allowance with an abrasion and heat resistant metal; thermal spray coating the coating allowance part to a thick thickness with the abrasion resistant metal; chemical bonding heat treating the thermal spray coated coating allowance part so as to remove pore gaps between the alloy tool steel matrix and the coating material, and enable bonding of elements by the temperature and activation materials; and finish polishing the heat treated coating allowance part.
