PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce multiple echoes in an ultrasonic diagnostic device. SOLUTION: For this diagnostic device, a first reception opening 12 and a second reception opening 14 are set so as to mutually shift multiple echo components for one wavelength between two reception signals. When second reception signals obtained by the second reception opening 14 are subtracted from first reception signals obtained by the first reception opening 12, the multiple echo components are canceled and thus, only a target echo is emphasized.
