摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst adjusted in its particle size while keeping good catalytic capacity by separating a dry product having a particle size out of a desired particle size range generated by spray drying operation to grind the same and mixing the ground product with a slurry before spray drying to subject the resulting mixture to spray drying and classifying the obtained dry product. SOLUTION: When a slurry containing a catalytic component is granulated by spray drying, the slurry is subjected to spray drying to obtain dried particles which are, in turn, classified to obtain dried particles having a particle size out of a desired particle size range and the dried particles having a particle size within the desired particle size range are sent to a baking process. The dried particles out of the desired particle size range are ground to obtain a ground product with a particle size of 10 μm or less and this ground product is mixed with the slurry containing the catalytic component in an arbitrary stage before spray drying within a range of 50 wt.% or less on the basis of oxide of a complete catalyst after spray drying an baking. By this method, extremely fine particles or coarse particles can be reused without being wasted and a catalyst manufacturing yield can be enhanced.
