PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying roll for steel products excellent in both acid resistance and wear resistance. SOLUTION: On the outer peripheral surface of the main body of the roll 1, a covering layer 2 which is formed by making resin composition which is prepared by mixing one or more kinds of fillers selected among graphite, molybdenum disulfide, ethylene tetrafluoride resin, boron nitride or the like in a binder resin selected between epoxy resin and nonsaturated polyester resin impregnate in a base material consisting of at least one of synthetic fiber cloth and unwoven fabric of an organic fiber and harden is laminated. This covering layer 2 has high acid resistance and wear resistance.
