PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of automobile utility bars that can improve the support strength and rigidity of a utility bar and widen the field of its application. SOLUTION: The support structure of automobile utility bars arranges along each of the right and left side edges of a roof panel 2 a roof side rail 3 that extends along the longitudinal vehicle axis and that includes a roof side reinforce 8 disposed between a roof outer rail 6 and a roof inner rail 7. The right and left roof inner rails 7 each have a mounting hole 17 in which a utility cap 25 is fitted, and the right and left utility caps 25 support opposite ends 30b of a utility bar 30 extending along the vehicle width. Each utility cap 25 has a bottomed cylinder portion 25a, whose flange portion or opening edge 25b is brought into contact with a circumference 17a of the working hole 17 and whose bottom wall 25c is fixed to a mounting seat 27 on the roof side reinforce 8 by means of a clip member 29.
