摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the exact measurement of an organ fat quantity and subcutaneous fat quantity by making it possible to correct a data range of the fat tissue derived by a histogram analysis at need. SOLUTION: This measuring instrument forms a tomographic image of a digital image by capturing the analog image of a tomographic photographic film f of the abdomen obtained by a CT device to an image scanner 1. The tomographic image is stored into an image memory of an image processor 3 and is displayed on a monitor 8. When the section of the subcutaneous fat of the tomographic image is assigned by manipulating a mouse 7, the concentration distribution of the image within the assigned region is determined and the parameter for extracting the section of the fat of the tomographic image is calculated from the concentration distribution. This parameter is processed to be corrected at need. The section of the organ fat and the section of the subcutaneous fat of the tomographic image are extracted by using this parameter, by which the areas are measured.
