PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a tile of natural stone touch with a split texture face at a low cost even when a small lot of it is manufactured, by glazing the surface of a tile green molded by dry pressing after driving a chisel into the side face of the green to be split to have the split texture face having acute edges and baking the glazed surface. SOLUTION: In a tile green for two-cavity molding with a dovetail groove formed on the first and the second surface by a dry press molding process, two pieces of the tile green 3 with a dovetail groove formed on the second surface of the green 3 having a split texture face 4 with acute edges are obtained by driving a chisel into the center part, in the thickness direction, of the blank for two-cavity molding. Next a glaze (b) is sprayed on the split texture face 4 of the green 3 from a nozzle (a) and the glazed green 3 is baked to obtain the split texture face tile. This tile is free from the exfoliation of loose particles as the surface is coated with the glaze (b) and also from the possibilities that the tile might hurt the skin or scathe the surface of an object when the former strongly hits or rubs the latter, because the acute edges are smoothed. In addition, the tile hardly receives a dust settlement and can be easily cleaned even when the dust settles on it.
