PURPOSE: A battery pack having a recess or a recessed terminal is provided, to prevent dust to be accumulated on the aperture formed outside of a battery back for the location of electrodes. CONSTITUTION: The battery pack has the battery means which co-operates with a battery charger or electrical machinery or apparatus using the battery pack as a power source, and comprises a casing for accommodating the battery means and a detection aperture means(102, 104) formed along a center line (X-X) of the bottom surface of the casing. The bottom surface is defined as the surface where the battery pack confronts the battery pack accommodating part of the battery charger or electrical machinery or apparatus, the detection aperture means receives the corresponding projected part formed on the battery accommodating part, cylindrical batteries are accommodated in two rows in the casing, and the detection aperture means is located between the batteries of two rows along the center line (X-X).
