PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove a nitrogen oxide and unburnt substances (aldehydes and hydrocarbons) contained in a combustion exhaust gas to be discharged from a stationary internal combustion engine simultaneously by using a catalyst comprising copper and phosphorus contained in a crystalline aluminosilicate. SOLUTION: A nitrogen oxide and unburnt substances contained in a combustion exhaust gas to be discharged from a stationary internal combustion engine are efficiently removed simultaneously by using a catalyst comprising copper and phosphorus contained in a crystalline aluminosilicate. In this case, the stationary internal combustion engine to be used is a gas heat pump or the like and the combustion conditions are a lean burn state. In addition, the catalyst may contain an alkaline metal, an alkaline earth metal and a rare earth metal. Further, the catalyst may contain Co, Ni, Cr or others. Thus it is possible to efficiently remove the unburnt substances (aldehydes and hydrocarbons) while removing NOx over a broad temperature range from the exhaust gas to be discharged from the stationary internal combustion engine. |
