PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper support material attaching device in a support capable of inserting an upper support material smoothly into a support and capable of standing without slanting against the support. SOLUTION: As an attaching member 23 is fixed to the inside of the upper part of a support 2, attaching pieces 23b apart from the front wall 2a of the support 2 are formed. Therefore, support rods 18a can be smoothly inserted into the support 2 with the front surfaces of the support rods 18a abutting to attaching pieces 23d even if burs are formed around the rim of engagement holes 7 on the inner surface of the front wall 2a of the support 2. An upper support material can be erected without slanting against the support 2 by screwing attaching screws 18e into female screw parts 18c of the support rods 18a through insertion holes 2n bored both in the support 2 and the attaching pieces 23b. In addition, since the attaching pieces 23b are formed apart from the front wall 2a of the support 2, a bracket can be engaged with engagement holes 8 at the upper part of the support 2 without being obstructed by the support rods 18a even if the support rods 18a are attached inside the support 2.
