PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger excellent in erosion resistant characteristic, which can be manufactured without adding to any further manufacturing process, and a useful method for producing such a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger is formed by brazing an Al alloy brazing sheet-made tube material laminating Al-Si base brazing filler metal or Al-Si-Mg base brazing filler metal through an intermediate layer on both surfaces or one side surface of an Al alloy core material or without containing the intermediate layer, and an Al alloy-made fin material through the brazing filler metal. In such a case, Si concn. [Si]70 after brazing at the position of 70μm depth from the interface at the core material side of the brazing filler metal before brazing the tube material, is not higher than a value regulated by the expression that [Si]70=Si concn. originally contained in the core material + 0.4% (mass %).
