PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for treating diabetic complication, which is useful for treating diabetic neuropathy, diabetic nephropathy, cardiac infarction, or the like, by including an aldose reductase inhibitor and a selective cyclooxigenase-2 inhibitor. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by including (A) an aldose reductase inhibitor (e.g. fidarestat, zopolrestat), its prodrug or their medicinally permissible salts, (B) a selective cyclooxigenase-2 inhibitor, its prodrug or their medicinally permissible salts and (C) a medicinally permissible carrier, vehicle or diluent. The dosage levels of the ingredients A and B are respectively 0.1-20 mg/kg/day and 10-300 mg/kg/day preferably once or divided into several portions and plural times a day but suitably are determined depending on condition of patients.
