PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the lateral leakage of urine, etc., from both leg hole parts and to remarkably reduce a cost by mounting leg elastic members of an X type between front and rear waist elastic members and mounting absorption mat members to the inside surfaces of the intersecting parts of these leg elastic members. SOLUTION: At the time of production of the throw-away shorts, a sheet material 1 for the waist elastic members is un-wound from a roll and is continuously supplied. The sheet material is cut in a transverse direction by a slitter during the course of this supply and is bisected to front and rear sheet materials (A and B). Next, a plurality of elastic yarn 3 (A and B) for the waist are attached in a stretched state to the inside surfaces of the respective sheet materials (A and B) respectively under delivery from the rolls and are adhered by adhesives thereto. The leg elastic members 5 (A and B) of the X type are directly mounted between the front and rear waist elastic members 2 (A and B) and the absorptive mat members 7 are mounted to the inside surfaces of the intersecting parts. In succession, the front and rear waist elastic members 2 (A and B) are two-folded and are overlapped on each other.
