PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge chips to a fixed position by providing a guide for introducing the chips downward at the back of a contact position between a pair of rotary blades. SOLUTION: In this slitter device, rotary blades 3, 4 are rotated reversely as shown by arrows and cut a side edge of a fed sheet S0. A production part S1 separated from its chip (a) is conveyed to the downstream side of the rotary blades 3, 4 by a pair of upper and lower feeding rollers 5, 6 provided on the downstream side. A guide 7 is provided at the back of the contact portion between the rotary blades 3, 4, and the guide 7 has, in its upper part, a circular arc surface 7a along the outer periphery of the upper rotary blades 3 and has a circular-arc-like guide surface 7b in its lower part. Since the guide 7 having the guide surface 7b is provided at the back of the contact part between the rotary blades 3, 4, and cut and removed chip (a) is guided by the guide surface 7b of the guide 7 to be discharged downward, and the chip can be easily recovered.
