PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polypeptide which has a specific amino acid sequence, specifically acts only on chemokine receptor CCR3 on an eosinophil, and is useful as a medicine for treating asthma and atopy and/or for preventing infec tion and the like. SOLUTION: This is a new polypeptide which has a specific amino acid sequence represented by formula I or II, is a chemokine agonist specifically acting only on chemokine receptor CCR3 on an eosinophil, is a peptide enhancing an activity of chemokine to CCR3, and is useful as a medicine for treating asthma and atopy and/or for preventing infection and the like. This polypeptide is obtained by inducing a mutation to chemokine HCV002 gene which is expressed by the stimulation of interleukin-4 from a human umbilical cord vein endothelial cell by the conventional method, transducing a recombinant DNA obtained by incorporating the gene into a vector into a host, following by culturing an obtained transformant in a medium. |
