<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and highly practical printer to which image data can be inputted from a recording medium such as a memory card or the like, or an external device such as a personal computer or the like so as to print images without using various special connectors, transmission/reception devices for data communication, etc. SOLUTION: A printer 1 having a mounting slot 13 which can be used in common to a memory card 24 and an adapter 30 for connection is disclosed. The slot 13 is connected to an interface 14 and inputs image data into the printer 1 via the interface 14. The adapter 30 for connection is connected to a personal computer 2 of predetermined interface specifications and transmits image data from the personal computer 2 to the printer 1. A card detect part 23 identifies the memory card 24 adapter 30 for connection set to the slot 13.</p> |
