摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the shock energy absorption structure of the upper part of an automobile car body which can improve an energy absorption characteristic by increasing the displacement amount of an energy absorption material, even when the sufficient displacement allowable interval can not be ensured between a structural member and an interior trim material. SOLUTION: In this structure, a shock energy is absorbed at the car body upper part provided with a car body structural member 10 extending to a longitudinal direction, an interior trim material 14 having an allowable displacement interval inward from the structural member and an energy absorption material 16 arranged in the displacement allowable interval. When a shock load in a specific direction outward from the car interior is added to the interior material, the energy absorption material 16 is installed so as to rotate against the structural member on the imaginary surface crossing in the longitudinal direction.
