PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert garbage containing microorganisms for fermentation efficiently into compost by a treatment body composed of storage chambers installed vertically adjacently and a multistage sending mechanism, to conserve resources limited in amount and very precious, and to protect environment by preventing the discharge/diffusion of harmful substances and carbon dioxide when garbage containing salts is incinerated and when fossil fuel is burned. SOLUTION: A treatment boy is composed of storage chambers A10 installed vertically adjacently, a sequentially sending machine A20 for sequentially sending treated garbage downward and stepwise by the opening/closing of a partition plate A21 installed between the chambers A10, and agitation means for agitating garbage in the chambers A10.
