PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a water cleaning device and its filter structure wherein an accumulation of a solid material on a cross section of the filter is approached to a uniform state by approaching a velocity distribution of water having passed through the filter in a channel (a velocity distribution on the cross section of the channel) to a uniform state. SOLUTION: In a filter part 6 of a filter for a water purification device, the size of a fluid passing hole 5 of a peripheral edge part (b) is made larger than a size of the fluid passing hole 5 in a central part (a). That is, the number of meshes is made less, as the hole approaches from the central part (a) to the peripheral edge part (b). When fluid such as water is passed through, a flow velocity which is otherwise decreased near a pipe wall is uniformized thereby, the velocity distribution is uniformized in the facial direction of the filter. In the case where a granular filter element group of active carbon or the like is arranged in the downstream of the filter, a flow velocity (flow rate) passing through the granular filter element group is also arranged, and adsorption of the granular filter element group is developed uniformly on the cross section of the channel.
