PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide head jamb fitting structure dispensing with work at an attic. SOLUTION: A bracket 12 for reinforcing a head jamb fitting part of a ceiling 21 can be installed at an attic from the indoor side through a through hole 22 by making the width and thickness of the bracket 12 smaller than the diameter of the through hole 22 and making the length of the bracket larger than the diameter of the through hole 22. A head jamb 11 can thereby be installed by machining the through hole 22 in the ceiling 21 by after-machining, and complicated work of laying wood backing at the attic in conventional head jamb fitting structure can be omitted to simplify fitting work of the head jamb 11 and to reduce work execution cost.
