PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor joint device efficiently absorbing the vibration of an earthquake or the like and enabling no slip or the like to occur in a gap or a joint plate. SOLUTION: A floor joint device is equipped with a joint plate 4 bearing both ends thereof on a floor on a joint section side of both right and left buildings through a joint section 2 having a wall surface on one side in a slidingly movable manner and a central maintaining mechanism 6 having one end held so as to always locate the central part of the joint plate at the central part of the joint section and pivoted on one building and having the other end pivoted on the other building. It is constituted of a slide joint plate 7 covering the joint section of a site bearing both ends capable of overlapping with the joint plate in a movable manner on the floor on the joint section side of both right and left buildings, an energizing mechanism 8 energizing so as to always bring the slide joint plate into contact with the wall surface on one side and a pair of cover plates 9 counted on the floor on the joint section side covering both so that the joint plate and slide joint plate can be slidingly moved.
