METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING STAINLESS STEEL UNIT SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sink marks and wrinkles from occurring when forming a swell on a substrate of a plate material made of stainless steel which is blanked according to a development of a unit board. SOLUTION: A plate material which is blanked from a stainless steel plate according to a development of a unit board and formed with a peripheral groove 21 in the vicinity of a periphery of a substrate 12 is mounted on a lift member 24 of a lower die 21 constituting the manufacturing apparatus 20. Thereafter, an upper die 25 is lowered, and the periphery of the substrate 12 of the plate material is pressed and held between the lift member 24 and the upper die 25 to have it positioned. Then, a joint rim 13 of the plate material is interposed between the upper die 25 and an outer shell 23 of the lower die 21, and is bent vertically upward with respect to the substrate 12. Thereafter, an intermediate die 26 is lowered to form a swell 122 on the substrate 12 of the plate material.
