PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly emboss a belt for serration especially in press molding and shorten setting time to enhance productivity. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method is to emboss a beltlike molding 9 for serration by fixedly arranging an intermediate platen 21 having tooth parts and groove parts arranged at a specified pitch between the top and bottom forces 22, 23 of a press mold having the tooth parts and the groove parts alternately arranged likewise and interposing the beltlike molding 9 between the intermediate platen 21 and the top/bottom forces 22, 23. In this case, tension is imparted to the beltlike molding 9 and thereby, the molding 9 is thermally pressed by the top-bottom forces 22, 23 and the intermediate platen 21 to set the molding 9 into a specified form, in a process to emboss the beltlike molding 9. Then the pressurizing by the top/bottom forces 22, 23 is removed to ease the tension from the beltlike molding 9, which is, in turn, moved so that the region not yet embossed of the beltlike molding 9 is set on the intermediate platen 21 to make it undergo the same embossing process.
