PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain a bead core in a polygonal shape by providing bead core supporting parts and broken parts. SOLUTION: This ring for retaining a bead core comprises bead core supporting parts 4 having fitting faces 3 which fit to the inner peripheral face b2 of the bead core (b), projecting in the axial direction, on the inner peripheral edge part 2a of a disclike base part 2 which receives the side face b1 of the bead core (b). The bead core supporting parts 4 have broken parts 5 disconnected in the circumferential direction and therefore, can retain the bead core (b) in a polygonal shape.
