PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the rotating velocity of a core bit of a boring machine controllable in a multi-stage and optimal fashion and shorten an operating time for boring, cutting and the like by providing a variable speed motor on a core drill mounted, in a freely movable manner, on a support and fixing the core bit to the rotating shaft of the motor through a fastening means. SOLUTION: A core drill body 2 is fitted, in a freely movable manner, on a support 1 installed on a base. That is, a rack 110 mounted on the support 1 is engaged with the gear of the core drill body 2. On the core drill body 2, a servo motor 4 is installed which performs the rotating velocity control and/or the constant rotating torque control of the core bit 10 and makes its normal and reversed rotation. A controller 412 is connected to the servo motor 4. In addition, the core bit 10 has its sleeve 1000 butted against a flange formed on a rotary shaft, and the flange and the sleeve 1000 are fastened together with the help of a fixture. Thus, it is possible to ensure the rotating velocity control of the core bit 10 which is suitable for a concrete structure H and/or appropriate for a boring condition.
