PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a relief having no stain of a character or the like by forming an image of an anionic ink on a compression sheet, then giving a water solution containing a cationic component in a desired area of the sheet to swell the sheet to a desired shape, and forming the relief of an arbitrary shape. SOLUTION: The relief is formed by forming an image by using an anionic ink on a spongy compression sheet capable of swelling by absorbing a moisture, then giving a cationic water solution to a part of the image of the sheet formed with the image, and swelling the area given by the solution. In this case, a concentration of the cationic component of the solution containing the cationic component is 1 to less than 30 wt.% to the overall solution amount. As the sheet, a material obtained by compressing a fiber assembly or a bulky material such as a foamed material or the like to sheet out the material, maintaining its compressed state by a suitable means and swelling only an area given by the water is used. |
