PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular ceramic having light weight and high strength. SOLUTION: The objective cellular ceramic is produced by using fine powder of feldspar rock (e.g. aplite, granite and weathered granite) as a main raw material, mixing the main raw material with a treated residual aluminum ash containing 0.2-10 wt.% aluminum nitride as a material to supply a foaming raw material, forming to a desired form and burning at 1,000-1,300 deg.C.
